Inspired by a trade mission to Nairobi and Zanzibar, P.I. Haynie applied for Arkansas River Rice to become one of the suppliers for the McGovern-Dole Food for Education Program, which helps FAS boost food security, education, and child development in low-income countries experiencing a worldwide food shortage. (USDA Foreign Agricultural Service)Building opportunities for minority farmers through the McGovern-Dole Food for Education ProgramAfter decades of alleged discrimination by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) against Black farmers, the department’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) has been working to encourage and help secure opportunities for minority farmers to gain traction in international trade, while growing and promoting their businesses.Under the Inflation Reduction Act, of the $5.3 billion dedicated U.S. farmers, $3.1 billion will target distressed borrowers in paying off farm debts, while $2.2 billion is allocated for farmers who’ve suffered discrimination through USDA farm programs, NNPA reported. Last year, FAS started working closely with Arkansas River Rice, the only black-owned rice mill in the United States.
I WANTED TO “HIGHLIGHT” THIS “BLACK FARM” AND THEIR SUCCESS, ESPECIALLY BEING WITHIN THE USA AND THE “MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF REECE/REESE FAMILY FARM LANDS, THAT “WE SQUANDERED AWAY”; SUCH THAT, SUCCESS STORIES DO STILL EXIST AND DO HAPPEN, ALTHOUGH NEVER/EVER EASY IN THE USA, NOR THE WORLD OF “HUMAN SKIN COLORS” AND HATRED OF SKIN TONES!!!
SOMETIMES; “WE” AS “COLORFUL SKINNED” HUMANS, IN THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY IN THE USA, “SQUANDER AWAY”, AND HAVE DONE SO, OF MANY ACRES OF LANDS, WHICH OUR PARENTS, GRAND PARENTS, GREAT GRAND PARENTS, SOME WERE E3NSLAVED, AND PURCHASED, AFTER THEIR RELEASES FROM SLAVERY, SOME PURCHASED, BY SHARECROPPING, UNTIL EARNING ENOUGH TO BUY IT, AND OTHERS, WHO JUST WORKED AND PURCHASED PROPERTIES, AND LANDS, WHEN IT WAS NOT SO EXPENSIVE AND EVEN SOME AS “TAX LIENS” PROPERTIES!

THIS IS WHY, I HAVE HATED, HAVING BEEN “SLEEPING”, WHILE OUR FAMILIES LOST THEIR LANDS AND ACREAGES, AND PROPERTIES: “OUR PEOPLE PERISH, FOR LACK OF VISION”:
Hosea 4:6
King James Version=6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. AND Isaiah 9:16=Judgment Against Israel’s Hypocrisy
…15The head is the elder and honorable man, and the tail is the prophet who teaches lies. 16For those who guide this people mislead them, and those they mislead are swallowed up. 17Therefore the Lord takes no pleasure in their young men; He has no compassion on their fatherless and widows. For every one of them is godless and wicked, and every mouth speaks folly. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.…
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of the Seven Churches from Revelation
For those that haven’t read the book of Revelation before, in the first chapter, Jesus instructs John to write to the seven churches in the province of Asia (Revelation 1:4). Chapters 2 & 3 are the letters to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. 2 of the churches, Jesus has nothing but good things to say about. 3 of them he has some good and bad to say about. And 2 of them he has nothing good to say about. These letters are good to read, although they can be a little convicting. They are applicable to both to church and to believer. As a list, they break down into the good, the bad, and the ugly. (Yes, this list is inspired by Clint Eastwood’s classic and amazing movie.) As you read this, contemplate on how each of these points apply in your life and in your church.
THE GOOD
These are the churches that Jesus had nothing bad to say about. These are gold star churches.
The Church in Smyrna:
I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not,but are a synagogue of Satan.
Rev 2:9
This church was gracefully bearing suffering, and was being commended for it. They were enduring even slander. The Greek word for slander used in this verse is blasphemia, and in the context of this verse, it means “slander, detraction, speech injurious, to another’s good name.” Here in America, this may be the worst persecution we could currently endure, and yet still some cave in to the pressure. But Jesus tells this church in v10 that they will be thrown into prison, but to remain faithful even to the point of death….CONT…
