Mayor Carolyn Goodman, USHER Raymond IV, and Councilman Cedric Crear.
USHER is an incredible brand ambassador for Las Vegas with his extremely popular residency “My Way.” It also was announced recently that he is going to headline the next Super Bowl halftime show in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.
USHER received this recognition for several of his achievements. For starters, his team works through the New Look Foundation, which was founded in 1999, to create opportunities for those in need. The foundation is all about helping young people in underserved communities achieve their dreams, just as USHER has.
USHER penned an editorial for the Washington Post in 2020, lobbying for Juneteenth to become a national holiday, which it did.
The city of Las Vegas recognized USHER for his amazing career in music and film, and his Las Vegas residency. Councilman Crear presented a proclamation from the Las Vegas City Council declaring Oct. 17, 2023, “USHER Raymond Day” in the city of Las Vegas in the presence of the news media and city of Las Vegas employees in the City Council Chambers.
In addition, Mayor Carolyn Goodman presented USHER the Key to the City! We are looking forward to seeing his highly anticipated Super Bowl performance. Watch the full presentation below.

Usher will headline the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, announces new album release date. “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list.” Usher will be the headlining performer at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show.
